The goals of WCCS state that we will seek to provide a balanced educational environment designed to educate the whole person: spiritually, intellectually, socially, and physically. The following characteristics will mark the implementation of these goals.
Spiritual and Moral Development:
WCCS seeks to
- Make students aware of their sinful nature and God’s unconditional love for them. (Rom. 3:23; Jn. 3:16)
- Lead students to an acceptance of Christ as their Lord and Savior. (Rom. 10:13)
- Help students recognize the Bible as the inspired, inerrant, authoritative Word of God. (2 Tim.3:16)
- Develop in students a desire to know, love, and obey the will of God through daily prayer and Bible reading and participation in a local church.(2 Tim. 2:15; Heb. 10: 24,25)
- Instill in the students a knowledge of the foundational truths and doctrines of God’s word and the desire to apply these in life. (2 Tim. 2:15; Eph. 3:13-17)
- Help students realize the importance of recognizing and overcoming sin, and of living godly, obedient lives. (Eph. 4:21-32)
Curriculum / Programs designed to encourage spiritual and moral
growth among Warren County Christian School students:
- Teachers are hired who know Christ, have a dynamic relationship with Him, and who can role model Him to students.
- Bible instruction in all classes K-12.
- Weekly chapel services as a time set apart to allow students and staff to celebrate God’s presence through worship, conform to His purpose through instruction, care for each other through fellowship, and communicate God’s promises through evangelism.
- Annual retreat for grades 7-12.
- All subjects taught from a Biblical reference.
- Elementary Scripture Bee.
- Required church attendance for families enrolled at WCCS.
- ACSI leadership conferences.
- Annual Spiritual Emphasis Week for K-12.
Personal Development:
Warren County Christian School seeks to:
- Help students see and accept themselves as individuals, created in the image of God with special gifts to be fully developed for His glory. (Ps.139:13-16; 1 Cor. 12:7-11)
- Develop in students habits of good stewardship overall that God has given them –time, talents, material possessions, and the physical environment (Lk. 12:48b; Gal. 6:7, 8)
- Teach students personal responsibility and accountability for their words, deeds and attitudes. (Rom.14:12; Gal. 6:7, 8)
- Encourage in student's physical fitness, good health habits, and wise use of the body as the temple of God. (1Cor.6:19, 20)
- Develop in students the ability to make decisions based on biblical principles. (Ps. 1:1-2; 19, 20)
Curriculum / Programs designed to encourage personal development
among Warren County Christian School students:
In addition to the required curriculum, WCCS will offer:
- Drama ~Taught for the purpose of developing communication skills.
- Art ~ Taught to be an expression of one’s philosophy. Art at WCCS is taught to be a reflection of God’s handiwork.
- Music ~ At WCCS, music is meant to produce legitimate Christian emotions. Music is under the influence of the Holy Spirit. In that way, it will first appeal to the through the melody; secondly, it will appeal to the soul through the harmony; thirdly, it will appeal to the body through the rhythm.
- Sports ~ Allows students the opportunity to learn how to reach personal goals while applying them to a team effort. Sports at WCCS are for the express purpose of training students in ambassadorship. (2 Cor., 5:20)
- School Newspaper ~ offered for the express purpose of learning to exercise good written communication skills. Another means of teaching students that man’s speech and language must be pleasing to God, for what one communicates will either justify or condemn him. (Mt. 12:36, 37)
- Student Council ~ Offers training in service, stewardship, leadership, skills.
- Yearbook ~ Teaches the responsibilities of setting goals and meeting deadlines, Also teaches the importance of providing a historical framework whereby future generations can see how God can bless the efforts of a united body working toward a common goal.
- Foreign languages ~ Offer students the opportunities to examine and visit other cultures. Provides a framework for missions preparedness as well as an appreciation of God’s people throughout the world.
Social Development:
Warren County Christian School seeks to:
- Encourage students to view all others as made in God’s image, and to treat them with love and respect. (Gen.1:27; Jn. 13:35; James 2:8, 9)
- Develop in students the skills, perspective, and desire to function as cooperative members of the larger society (Rom. 13:1-7; 1 Tim. 2:1, 2)
- Help students develop Biblical attitudes toward marriage and the family, emphasizing the need to establish God-honoring homes. (Ps. 127:1; Eph.5:31)
- Help students desire to lead others to a saving knowledge of Christ and to discipline believers by precept and example. (Mt. 28:18-20; 1Tim.4:12)
- Develop in students the desire both to lead and serve as circumstances and God’s direction permit. (Mt.25:21)

Academic Development:
Warren County Christian School seeks to:
- Help students reach their full academic potential by providing a developmentally appropriate instructional program with high academic standards. (Is. 28:9, 10; Col. 3:23, 24; Heb. 5: 13, 14)
- Teach students to use good study habits to enhance their creative and critical thinking. (2 Tim. 2:15; Pro.4:5-12)
- Help students interpret and apply all knowledge from a biblical perspective. (Is. 8:20; 1Jn. 4:1)
- Help students identify and develop their gifts in the areas of fine arts, applied arts, and athletics. (1Cor. 12:4-11)
- Prepare students for the future educational or vocational experiences by developing in them the necessary communication, thinking, and technology skills. (Pro. 4:5-8)
- Develop in students independent study habits and foster in students a life-long love for learning and personal excellence. (Pro. 4:5-8)
- Help students become aware of changing world events and interpret them from a biblical worldview. (Heb. 13:8)
- Help students acquire a knowledge and appreciation of their Christian and American heritage. (Deut.4:2-9; Ps. 33:12a)
